OperaRise exists to ensure that opera's transformative power reaches every member of our community, regardless of financial circumstances. Through the generous support of our patrons who believe in the vital importance of accessible arts, this program provides complimentary tickets to Tacoma Opera performances for children and families facing economic barriers. We believe opera has the unique ability to inspire, uplift, and create lasting connections across all backgrounds. Families may qualify for OperaRise if they meet income-based guidelines such as receiving free or reduced-price school meals, participating in government assistance programs (SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, housing assistance), qualifying for utility assistance programs, or demonstrating financial need through other circumstances. This request portal allows eligible families to stay informed about upcoming performances and easily register for tickets, ensuring that financial limitations never stand between our community's children and the magic of live opera.
